I was raised in New England, right outside of Boston, with my parents and younger brother and sister. From a very young age, I became an active member of our local Congregational church. In fact, I discovered my passion for worship by joining the Church’s youth choir, where I sang and played accompanying instrumentals. My engagement in the Church and regional choirs followed me to Syracuse University, where I received my B.F.A. in Drama & Music. During my studies at Syracuse, I met my wife, Micheline, and we married after her graduation.

We moved to New York City together to pursue our studies in the performing arts, appearing in select shows and musicals. During this time, we became active members at a local church. It was because of this community I discovered my calling to pastorship. And with this newfound insight, I directed my attention to my biblical studies and practices and applied to Gordon Theological Seminary in New England.

In 2009, I received my M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell and embarked on my first pastoral position serving as Pastor of Worship Arts at First Baptist Church of Amherst in Massachusetts. I was then called to serve as Lead Pastor at nearby Greenwoods Community Church.

During my time at Greenwoods, I was invited by Gordon-Conwell to join the Okenga Fellows, a small cohort of New England pastors, to study Faith’s engagement in technology, science, education, and culture. In 2019, the Fellows and I traveled through China to deepen our understanding of Faith and its practices to a much deeper scale. On this journey, we witnessed the power and importance of our Calling to the global community. This experience drove the content and focus of our book, Beholding Beauty – Worshiping God through the Arts, published in 2022.

When the opportunity arose to practice our Faith in PEI, my family and I immediately felt called to Central Christian Church. We feel privileged to serve in this engaged and loving community and we look forward to finding ways to explore our Faith together.

Micheline and I have two daughters: Makenna (who attends Colonel Gray High School) and Ceanna (currently attending Queen Charlotte Intermediary School).
